By November, five thousand villages in India's state of Haryana will be brought under the category of 24-hour power schedule. So far 4463 villages have come under the purview of this schedule. While 60 villages will be put on a schedule this month. That is, by the beginning of July in 4523 villages, electricity will start getting 24 hours. Electricity corporation has set a target for the rest of the village till November.

After the end of the lockdown, the Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation has started speeding up the schemes. In this episode, instructions have also been given to expedite the Mhara village-Jagamg village scheme. The government also wants that 24 hours of electricity will be available in five thousand villages of the state by Haryana Day i.e. 1 November.

Shatrujit Kapoor, MD of Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporations said that the Chief Minister also wants that all the villages under the scheme get a better and 24-hour schedule. MD told that till now the villages which have come within the scope of 24 hours schedule. Electricity is being supplied daily for more than 23 and a half hours. Power Distribution Corporations have proposed to sell 921.70 crore units to rural consumers. Rural electricity subsidy of Rs 6650 crore is also being considered. Both these proposals were also placed in the ARR meeting on behalf of the corporation in front of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission chairman DS Dhesi. MD Shatrujit Kapoor told that since now the season of paddy is coming. Therefore, the power corporations have made arrangements to provide electricity for 8 to 10 hours to the farmers for agricultural purposes. It said that efforts will be made that this power supply for agricultural works should be given together smoothly instead of shifts.
