Hardoi: There is a wave of love in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. In the last 9 months, 564 girls have eloped with their boyfriends, keeping their parents' honour at bay. According to the police, after the girls escape, their parents start making rounds of the police and the court. In view of these circumstances, the police have now started maintaining diaries of such cases. At the same time, the police are investigating these cases seriously. In search for the girls, the police are raiding the place and many of them have also been recovered.

According to the data given by the police, 564 girls who fled home within the last nine months are minors. According to police records, their age is between 14 years and 17 years. Giving up the selfless love of their parents, these girls flee with their lovers, and their families keep making rounds of the police station and court with the stain of infamy. According to police, the lowest number of girls in the district have escaped from the Panchdevara police station area. At the same time, most have fled from the Beniganj Kotwali area. Every day, the work of the women's cell of the police has increased a lot due to the escape of girls from some area or the other.

Talking about the cases registered of girls who escaped with their boyfriends in Hardoi, every police station in the district is full of it. In the last 9 months, a total of 564 girls have fled the house with their boyfriends. This year, 15 were from Arwal police station, 13 from Behta Gokul police station, 29 from Atrauli police station, 43 were from Beniganj police station, 34 from Bagauli police station, 26 from Bilgram police station, 10 from Hariawan police station, 27 in Kachauna, 24 in Kasimpur, 37 in city Kotwali, 21 in Dehat Kotwali, 26 in Lonar police station, 30 in Madhoganj, 14 cases have been registered in Majhila police station, 23 in Mallawan police station, 7 in Pachdevara police station, 26 in Shahabad Kotwali, 16 in Pali police station, 28 in Pihani Kotwali, 22 in Sari police station, 25 in Sandila Kotwali, 20 in Sursa police station, 26 in Tadiyawan police station and 24 in Harpalpur Kotwali.

Giving information in this regard, Hardoi Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Dwivedi has told that after the recovery of the lover and girlfriend, their medical tests are done. If minor, then she is produced before CWC for counselling. At the same time, when the girl becomes an adult, her parents are talked to. If the girl wants to go with her lover, she is allowed to go as per her wish, being an adult. However, this decision is taken only after counselling.
