Lucknow: A painful accident took place during the Barawafat procession in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. 6 people have lost their lives and 2 people are said to be injured due to a high voltage current in the procession. CM Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this accident and expressed condolences to the families of the victims. CM Yogi has instructed the District Magistrate and top police officers to reach the spot. 

The procession of Barawafat of village Bhaggadwa and Chauri Kutiya of Kotwali Nanpara was passing through the door of Zahir, the former head of Masupur at four o'clock in the morning on Sunday (October 9), meanwhile, the pipe of the procession's alum touched the hanging electric wire. A 24-year-old Ashraf Ali, an 8-year-old Ashfaq Khan, 18-year-old Ilyas and 14-year-old Sufiyan, a resident of Bhaggadwa, Masupur and Chauri Kotia resident 11-year-old Shafiq died of burns due to electrocution. While four people were seriously injured.

Everyone was rushed to the Community Health Center Nanpara for treatment. From where he was referred to Lucknow. 27-year-old Tabrez also died while being taken to Lucknow. Two people from the other Bhaggadwa entry Masupur Kotwali Nanpara have been seriously injured and two people have been injured a little.
