Rain continues to wreak havoc in Rajasthan, 6 people died so far

Jaipur: Torrential rains continue to lash Rajasthan. In the Bikaner district, three people have died due to the collapse of kutcha houses due to rain. The incident is said to be of Khajuwala. Top officials of the administration are present at the spot. The administration has intensified relief and rescue operations. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in all the seven divisions of the state today. Jodhpur is also reeling under flood-like situations.  

The district collector has declared a holiday in government and private schools for the third consecutive day. So far, six people have lost their lives due to rain-related accidents in Jodhpur. CM Gehlot is keeping an eye on the situation. Gehlot has directed the district collector to intensify relief and rescue operations to avoid heavy rains. CM Gehlot is taking all the information from Jodhpur District Collector Himanshu Gupta. On Wednesday, senior officials of the administration visited the streets and waterlogged areas of the city to take stock of the situation. CM Gehlot has urged the people of the state to exercise caution against seasonal diseases.  

The MET department has issued a warning for heavy and very heavy rains in the entire state today. This round of heavy will continue for the next 48 hours. The MET department has issued an orange alert for rain in parts of south Rajasthan today. According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director, Meteorological Department, Jaipur, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the districts of east Rajasthan as well as south Rajasthan today.
