On Monday in Guwahati's Kalapahar neighbourhood, a lady was brutally dead in her flat with her limbs and lips tied.The woman in her 60s has been identified as Anu Hazarika, who had been living alone for years, according to police sources. According to the police source, the woman is suspected of being the victim of a planned robbery killing.

 A person who works with her in an NGO informed the police earlier on Monday, according to the source. He attempted to contact the victim this morning but received no answer, so he went to her apartment to check on her.

However, when he arrived to the apartment, he saw that the door was smashed and the home was in disarray. He was unable to locate the woman and quickly called the police, who arrived to find her dead under a bed. Her hands, feet, and found were all taped up.

So far, no one has been arrested, but the police have a suspect list. According to the source, the apartment complex's CCTV is being investigated, but it was discovered that the cameras were turned off when the crime was being committed.  The police are investigating what was taken from the residence and how much was taken. According to her neighbours, the woman has been living alone for years because her husband and son died many years ago.
