Over 620 corona cases reported in Kerala, CM shared the information

The outbreak of Covid-19 is increasing in Kerala. 623 infected cases have been registered in the state. The total number of infected people has reached 9,553. While addressing, CM Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala said that 432 of these cases found out are from the local contact.

The Chief Minister said that district-wise details of the new positive cases that are 157 in Thiruvananthapuram city, 74 in Kasaragod city, 72 in Ernakulam city, 64 in Pathanamthitta and Kozhikode city, 55 in Idukki city, 35 in Kannur city, 25 in Kottayam city. There are 20 cases in Alappuzha city, 19 from Palakkad city, 18 in Malappuram town, 11 from Kollam town, 5 in Thrissur city, and 4 from Wayanad city.

He said that 9,553 Covid-19 cases are confirmed out of which 4,880 are active cases. Presently, 1,84,601 people are under surveillance in various cities of the state. With which 1,79,612 people are home quarantined or institutional quarantine, 4,989 patients are being treated in the hospital. CM further informed that 16,444 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. He told that "Today there are 16 new hotspots, while 9 places have been excluded from the list. There are 234 hotspots in Kerala right now. He told that the situation is still under control, even though there is a super spread and in some places. It is a matter of concern that there has been an increase in numbers. We are using more restrictions to curb proliferation and all should take precautionary actions to stop the spread of virus.
