Jaipur: Kota's J.K. Lone Hospital in Rajasthan is once again in the headlines. This is due to the death of nine newborn children within the last 24 hours. The aggrieved family has accused the hospital management of the negligence. The hospital management has made some other arguments. The medical superintendent of the hospital, Dr S.C. Dulara, says three newborns were brought dead.

He said that three had congenital diseases and three died due to water in the brain. There is no negligence in the hospital. The district collector is to give an enquiry report from the hospital management to investigate the claim of the hospital. An official said, five children from one to four days have succumbed to their injuries Wednesday night at the JK Lone Hospital, while four children died on Thursday. In the case of death of children, the hospital had also been in controversies in December last year. State Health Minister Raghu Sharma has ordered an inquiry and asked the hospital to give a report in this regard.

He said, "nine newborns have died, three of whom were brought dead. I have issued instructions that under no circumstances should any newborn baby be killed. CM Gehlot and the government are taking this issue very seriously."
