New Delhi: Nine out of 10 accused in the 2013 Patna serial blasts case have been convicted by the court. While one of the accused is acquitted for want of evidence. The court will pronounce the sentence in the case on November 1. Eight years ago, on this day, there was a loud blast during Narendra Modi's rally here. On October 27, 2013, a series of bomb blasts in Bihar's capital Patna killed six people and injured more than 90.

However, even after these blasts, there was a rally and Narendra Modi also addressed it. In Patna, serial blasts took place at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hunker rally. Narendra Modi was addressing the people at the ongoing rally at Gandhi Maidan. He was the PM candidate for the BJP. There was also an explosion in the accessible toilet of Platform No. 10 of Gandhi Maidan as well as Patna Junction. the NIA in the case had started investigation from the day after the incident.

NIA had filed a chargesheet in the court against a total of 11 accused on August 21, 2014, within just one year. The NIA team then arrested Haider Ali, Noman Ansari, Md. Mujibullah Ansari, Imtiaz Alam, Ahmed Hussain, Fakruddin, Md. Feroz Aslam, Imtiaz Ansari, Md. Iftikar Alam, Azharuddin Qureshi and Taufiq Ansari in the case.
