Thiruvananthapuram: 927 new cases of corona have been reported in Kerala on Sunday, in which 16 health workers have also fallen victim to it. The total number of patients in the state has increased to 18,140. Kerala Health Minister K.K. Selja said that the maximum 175 new patients have been found in the capital Thiruvananthapuram. 107 patients have been reported in Kasargod, 91 in Pathanamthitta, 74 in Kollam. The Health Ministry has further informed that 2 more people have lost their lives in the state from Corona. Now, 61 people have died due to this virus in Kerala.

In a release, the Health Minister said that in Malapuram and Thrissur, 1-1 people died due to corona and they were 71 years old and were undergoing treatment in the hospital. It has been said that 76 out of Corona patients have come from abroad, while 91 patients had returned from other states, while 733 people got infected due to Corona patients coming into contact while the source of infection of 67 people was not known yet. 

Minister has further said that 9,655 infected people are undergoing treatment at this time while 9,302 people have become healthy. Of these, 689 people have been discharged from the hospital on Sunday after being corona free. 1.56 lakh people have been kept under surveillance in different districts of the state.
