NEW DELHI: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau call off dinner invitation to convicted Khalistani terrorist, Jaspal Atwal, after a photograph came into sight in which the latter is seen posing with the PM’s wife during a February-20 event in Mumbai, reported ANI.
The official twitter handle of ANI reported,” Jaspal Atwal, a convicted Khalistani terrorist who was active in the banned Int'l Sikh Youth Federation, photographed w/Canadian PM's wife Sophie Trudeau at an event in Mumbai on 20 Feb. He was also invited for formal dinner with Canadian PM, invite being rescinded now (CBC News)” ANI wrote.
Khalistani terrorist Atwal clarified his occurrence at the Mumbai event, where he was clicked with the Canadian PM's wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau(Sophie Grégoire Trudeau also known as Sophie Grégoire, is the wife of the 23rd and current Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau)asserting that he was present in Mumbai on Business meet, as reported by Vancouver Sun.
The photograph emerges at a time when Canadian Prime Minister is currently on an India visit.He has been criticized for having the soft corner in his cabinet on pro-Khalistan groups based in Canada.
Yesterday in a meeting, CM Amarinder, Punjab also handed over to PM Trudeau a list of nine Category `A’ Canada-based activist alleged to be caught up in extreme dislike crimes in Punjab.
