The Election Commission has made it clear that is being circulated around referring to the misuse of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) has not been issued by the body and is declared it fake. The Commission has also commanded to file an FIR regarding the same, wherever the letter is found.
The letter being circulated states the EVM being misused in the country. A statement in the letter read, "If there is a problem with the EVM Machine, then under the confidential police enquiry, you should investigate scam of the EVM machine. You should send us an effective report of the EVM machine scam within 30 days anyhow, because of which voting on ballot Paper should be done. Voting on the ballot paper is against the trust or not, make your reliable-opinion also."
The opposition parties including BSP led by Mayawati have at various times raised allegations against the ruling party BJP regarding EVM tampering. They also said that the ruling party has been misusing the EVM for getting the poll results in their favour.
The investigation team is looking into the matter and has assured to reveal the face behind this letter conspiracy as soon as possible.
