Iran ready to share oil with India says Prez Hassan Rouhani

HYDERABAD: Iranian president Hassan Rouhani announced on Friday that Tehran is ready to share its oil and natural gas with India, and  provide relief in visa norms, to further strengthen cultural and diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Addressing an assembly at the historical Mecca Masjid here after the Friday prayers, Iranian  Prez Rouhani said the beginning of Iran's Chabahar port to India will offer  a gateway to Afghanistan, Central Asia and Europe. "Iran is rich in oil and natural gas resources. It is ready to share its natural resources with India for its development and progress," Prez said.

During his 15-minute speech in Persian, heard with ecstatic attention by over 5,000 people, Rouhani called upon Muslims around the world to cast differences and get together against the "common enemy of Islam". He said if Muslim nations had been united, America would not have "dared" to announce Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. He asked Muslims to aid the Palestinian cause.

The Iranian president landed in the city on Thursday and he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday.Rouhani offered to fortify bilateral ties on various fronts, including industry, agriculture and new technology.
