Karishma Kapoor, a well-known face from Kapoor’s family must be planning for her birthday as the same is observed on 25th June. Born and raised in Mumbai, Karishma was born in 1974 to actors Babita and Randhir Kapoor. Karishma left her studies and started her career in Bollywood at the age of 17 to take the responsibility of her family. She came under the category of successful heroines who used to get the highest pay in the 1990s and early 20s. Her fashion styles are also considered unique and allow her to remain in limelight.

Lolo started her career with moderately successful movie Prem Qaidi in 1991. In her acting career, she gave many hits to the box office and was also praised with reputed awards. Some movies in good books are Jigar (1992) and Anari (1993), the comedies Raja Babu (1994), Coolie No. 1 (1995) and Saajan Chale Sasural (1996), and the thriller Jeet (1996).

She was facilitated by Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the romantic blockbuster Raja Hindustani (1996) and National Film Award and Filmfare Award for Best supporting actress for Dil to pagal hai in 1997. Later she was rewarded with Filmfare for Best Actress and Best Actress Critics awards for her tremendous performance in Fiza (2000) and Zubeidaa (2001).

The daughter of Kapoor family was also part of the well known and well successful family drama. She reached the summit with movies like Hero No.1 (1997), Biwi No.1 (1999) and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge (2000).

After taking the long halt in 2004, Karishma made her comeback in 2012 with Dangerous Ishqq, which was a supernatural thriller. In 2008, she also judged the popular show Nach Baliye with Arjun Kapoor and Farah Khan.

Though Karishma was a successful actress but was getting criticized due to her choice of movies that are actor dominating. However, with Fiza and Zubeidaa she overcomes the critics' point.
