PM Narendra Modi flags off Palace Queen Humsafar Express

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off the Palace Queen Humsafar Express from Mysuru. Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah was also present at the event.

The passengers and travelers in the diamond city will have an opportunity to travel to Mysuru and Udaipur destinations with the Indian railways providing stoppage to the Mysuru Palace Queen Weekly Humsafar Express at Surat.

The train has started its maiden run to Udaipur from Mysuru. The train is fully air-conditioned with third AC class coaches and has advanced facilities introduced in Indian Railways recently like GPS controlled LED display to inform passengers about train’s speed, location, and other relevant information. The train will pass through five states providing easy connectivity.

The train will run via Mandya, Bengaluru, Davangere, Hubballi, Belagavi, Pune, Kalyan, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Chittaurgarh and pass through 5 states, i.e., Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Navsari MP, CR Patil had made representation to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal for providing stoppage to the Palace Queen weekly express at Surat railway station, which was acknowledged by the Railway Board.

“This train will provide a unique travel experience to the people on board as it will have state-of-the-art passenger facilities including the GPS controlled LED display in the coaches for alerting passengers on the train’s speed, stoppages, and other information,” said Paatil.
