Narendra Modi, the  Prime Minister of the nation unfurled the national flag of the country at the red fort.

On the occasion of the 72nd Independence day of the country, Narendra Modi is addressing the countrymen.

The hoisting ceremony was followed by a 21 guns salute, that was performed by the gunners of the elite 2281 Field Battery.

 C Sandeep, the Lieutenant colonel along with the Gun Position Officer, Regiment Havildar Major Kolate Rajesh Shripati, headed the ceremonial battery.

 

The PM’s speech shall be followed by a performance by the school students and National Cadet Corps (NCC) Cadets, who would sing the national anthem.

PM Modi from the red fort lauded about The practice of Triple Talaq and said that it has caused great injustice to Muslim women. We are striving to end this practice but there are some people who are not wanting it to end. I promise the Muslim women that I will work to ensure justice is done to them: PM Modi

 

The Prime Minister was received by the Defence Minister of the nation, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Minister of State (MoS) for defence Dr. Subhash Bhamre and the Defence Secretary Sanjay Mitra.

 

He flag unfurling ceremony involved Seven hundred cadets from the National Cadet Corps drawn from 16 schools of the Delhi Directorate that includes Army, Navy and Air Force wings.

On the 72nd Independence day of the nation, PM Modi shall discuss subjects like rape, education, employment, reservation system and open defecation.

Patriotic songs will be sung by the cadets. The school students of Delhi have been seated in a way that their formation reads Bharat.
