It has been infomed that the DTC buses will provide free ride service to the women in the capital of the country, Delhi. The Delhi Metro has made special arrangements for this festival.
On this festival of Rakhi, President Ramnath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have also wished the countrymen. In his message, the President said, "Congratulations to all the citizens on Raksha Bandhan. This festival strengthens the spirit of brotherhood among us and inspires us to create such a society where the safety and dignity of women is always respected.
At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "All the best wishes to all the citizens on the holy festival of Raksha Bandhan." Women in Uttarakhand, Dehradun tied rakhi to the jawans. In Jaisalmer, schoolgirls also tied rakhi to the BSF jawans.
