Infosys co-founder and technology giant Nandan Nilekani and his wife Rohini Nilekani joined the 'Giving Pledge'. It is a network of rich people of the world who have committed to give their half of their wealth for charitable purposes. 

The letter signed by Nilekani couple has been written on the website of the Giving Pledge. Bill and Melinda Gates have expressed gratitude in the letter. Later, Bill Gates tweeted about Nilekani's commitment. 

Nandan Nilekani owns property worth Rs 11,062 crore In the country's second largest IT company Infosys, they have two per cent stake. His wife Rohini Nilekani is the founder of Arghyam, through which he works against problems present in the society.

The Giving Pledge was formed by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet in August 2015. Nilekani, who is on this network, is the fourth Indian. Earlier, Wipro Chairman Azim Premji, Biocon chairman Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, and Shobha Developers' Honorary Chairman PNC Menon have signed this.

The Giving Pledge campaign was started by Gates, the richest person in the world. He founded it with wife Milinda Gates and the world's largest investor Warren Buffett. This institution works in many countries to solve social issues and problems arising in front of humans in the world. This campaign of Bill Gates has so far been signed by 171 people from 21 countries of the world. 

Nilekani is one of the top celebrities in the field of information technology. Not only that, he is also the co-founder of Infosys, the country's second-largest IT company.
