Dhoni was in the city at Eden for a commercial shoot with another former skipper Kapil Dev. In the morning session, Dhoni was seen talking to  Sujan Mukherrjee, checking the strip that Virat Kohli and Co. will going to  use in their first Test against Sri Lanka from November 16 to 20. “Dhoni really appreciated the pitch preparation,” Mukherjee told. 

In the morning session both Dhoni and Kapil spent the their whole day practising in bowling and batting as per shooting requirements and they were also joined by a host of kids. Kapil paji was seen bowling to Dhoni as the film rolled, it was role reversal with the India wicketkeeper rolling his arms over to the 1983 World Cup-winning captain in the ad sequence of 33 seconds, directed by noted Bengali producer-director Arindam Sil.

The producer-director Arindam Sil who has acted in many feature films, telefilms and mega serials has named it as a “lifetime experience” and said he was feeling very lucky and blessed to have shot his first TV ad with the two World Cup-winning captains at the hallowed turf of Eden Gardens. “It’s the Mecca of Cricket and I had two World Cup-winning captains shooting for me. It’s the most memorable day in my life,” Sil said to reporters.

“They were the the best of captains. I felt nostalgic. I have watched them play from the same galleries here, but to shoot with them now at the same venue is a lifetime experience,” Sil added.  In the shoot at Eden Dhoni talked with the children and offered them some invaluable tips of the sport. “He told them how to play aggressively about the stance and all of this in the midst of the busy work. It’s brilliant,” the director told. Not only this but he also called an ace cricketer as a natural actor.

And at the evening while the both cricketers were taking a break from the shoot, they were accompanied by Ganguly as the three successful former captains made for a photographer’s delight in one frame.
