Union Public Service Commission, UPSC is admitting an application for Combined Defence Services I Examination 2018. Candidates who are interested in applying for Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy or Officers' Training Academy may apply online before December 4, 2017. The online application facility would be open only till 6:00 pm on the given date. Instructions on how to apply are available on ups online.nic.in. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed advertisement before filling the online application forms. They have to ensure that they have the requisite certificates and physical fitness as required. Applications that do not fit the eligibility criteria would be summarily rejected. 

Eligibility criteria for UPSC CDS Exam 2018

Indian nationals who full fill the age and educational criteria are eligible to apply. Please note, apart from the age and educational criteria, there are other provisions as well which a candidate must fulfil. Candidates are hence advised again to go through the detailed notification before filling the online application forms. Also, vacancies at Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy are only for male candidates. Applications from female candidates are being invited only for the Short Service Commission at the Officer's Training Academy. Check the age limits and educational requirements tabulated below. 

Candidates who are in their final year are also eligible to apply. They would, however, be required to submit proof of having qualified the degree as required as per the mentioned cut off dates. The admission process required candidates to qualify the written examination along with the interview. Final results would be released based on the scores of the written and interview rounds. Also, candidates are required to be physically fit as a pet he guidelines.
