In the year 2011, on the same day i.e., on April 2, India won world cup after the 28 years of ‘drought’. India defeated Sri Lanka for the second time in the world cup. At the same time, the Indian team became the third such team after the West Indies and Australia, which managed to capture the title for more than 2 times.
