Patna: A gas cylinder suddenly exploded while making prasad for Chhath Puja in Bihar's Aurangabad. The cylinder exploded and the 2-storey building caught fire. More than 30 people were injured in the fire. Due to this, the policemen who came to control the fire were also burnt, and the injured have been admitted to the hospital.

The incident took place in Teli Mohalla, one of the thinnest lines in Aurangabad city. On Friday night, a gas cylinder suddenly exploded on Odia Street. This led to a fire in the house with a two-storey building. It was found that Chhath Puja was being organised at the house of one Anil Goswami in Murphy Radio Gali on Old GT Road. In his house, women were making prasad for the Chhath festival late on Friday night. According to the news, due to making prasad for the Chhath festival, there was leakage from the gas pipe. Gradually, the gas leak reached the cylinder, causing a blast. Due to this, more than 30 men and women were burnt in the fire. After this, the policemen who came to control the fire were also hit by it. Those injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital.

Let us tell you that Chhath Mahaparva started from October 28. On the first day of Chhath, Nahay Khay is eaten. Chhath fast is considered to be the most difficult fast. It is believed that women who follow the rules of Chhath, Chhathi Maa fulfil their every wish. Surya Dev is worshipped in Chhath Puja. This festival lasts for 4 days. The second day of the Chhath festival is called Kharna. Kharna means purification. There is a tradition of making Chhath Puja prasad on the day of Kharna.
