Ranchi: The impact of cyclone YAAS is clearly visible in Jharkhand. In Jharkhand, heavy rain is raining in many areas and rivers in the state are overflowing with heavy rains. In a river in Latehar, so much water overflowed that many vehicles got stuck. The people on the car somehow managed to jump into the river and save their lives. The met department had already sounded an alert over heavy rains in the state.
Let us tell you that it has been raining continuously for two days in Latehar due to the storm. The water level of the Dhardhari river has gone up. Meanwhile, due to not having bridge near Tupu Hesla village in sadar block, a Bolero started trying to reach across the river. In the meantime, there has been a strong current and the Bolero started flowing. The insiders jumped and saved their lives. The car was later pulled out with the help of rope. Along with Jharkhand, the impact of Yaas storm is also visible in Bihar. Kishanganj is receiving intermittent rain with strong winds. Kishanganj district collector has issued a high alert over the YAAS storm.
The district collector has directed all executive officials of the district to keep an eye on the water level of the rivers. Samastipur district is also receiving rain with strong winds. Generators have been installed at the Covid Care Centre to ensure that there is no power supply problem. The weather had changed due to yaas cyclone in the district for two days. It has started raining with strong wind today i.e. Thursday.
