Indore: A cleaning lady woman was hit by a car on VIP Road in Indore in the morning. Fellow employees took the woman to the hospital, but by then she lost her life. Police have seized the car. The driver of the vehicle fled from the spot.
The incident occurred at 9:30 in the morning. Amarlata Gauhar was cleaning the road on VIP Road. A car coming at high speed on the road hit him from behind. Both the wheels of the car came out trampling the woman's body. After which it collided with the footpath. The fellow employees working with Amarlata took her to a nearby hospital, but by then she had lost her life.
The crowd present at the spot surrounded the driver, but he saw the opportunity and ran away. During this time, Sadarbazar police also reached the spot and the car was also confiscated. The car was going from Lakshmibai statue towards Ramchandra Nagar intersection. Amar Lata was single-handedly earning her living in the family. The Municipal Corporation would have received financial assistance on the death of a female sweeper. Amar Lata used to work in Ward 57 of Zone Number 3. Fellow employees say that she was injured after the incident, but the ambulance did not come on time. If he had got timely treatment, his life would have been saved.
