Mumbai: These days there is a lock-down across the country, which is troublesome for the trapped labourers in various states of the country. Leaving their home states for wages, workers who have gone to big cities are not getting any basic facilities like bread and water. Also, their work has also stopped, due to which they want to return to their home. But due to the lockdown, thousands of workers are forced to leave on foot.

During the hundreds of kilometres of walking, the workers are also facing huge problems. One such anecdote has emerged from Maharashtra, where a pregnant woman gave birth to a newborn on the road. This woman was going to her home state of Uttar Pradesh with her husband.

Both the woman and her husband Noor Mohammed works in Surat, but their work was stopped due to the lockdown and they ran out of money. Noor then left for home with his pregnant wife. But in the middle of the way, the woman gave birth to a newborn in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Although both women and children are healthy.
