Chitrakoot: A woman rushed to the hospital on Thursday for 30 kilometers for the treatment of her ailing son due to a lockdown to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Maya Devi, a woman hailing from Anchwara village in Chitrakoot district, lives near Guptagodavari in Madhya Pradesh with her entire family. Her two-year-old son was suffering from ill health for two days.

When the health worsened in the early hours of Thursday, the woman walked 30 kilometers from Guptagodavari to Chitrakoot to get treatment and got her son treated in a private hospital. While giving information to media personnel on Friday, Maya Devi has told that her son's health was very bad.

She told that when her son walked on foot from Guptagodavari in the early hours of Thursday, no means of movement was found on the way. Many policemen requested for help, but no one helped because of the lockdown. She told that after reaching Chitrakoot, the child has been treated, now the health of the child is quite fine. This lock-down will continue till April 14, after which it can be extended further depending on the situation.
