On social media, a video has gone viral that shows a senior pilot of China Airlines sleeping inside the cockpit while the aircraft was airborne. According to reports, the pilot was flying a Boeing 747 and has been suspended for his actions.

In a showing video the senior pilot, who has almost 20 years of flying experience, is seen taking a nap in his seat while the aircraft is in mid-flight.

While it remains unclear when the pilot started sleeping, the video was shot by the co-pilot of the China Airlines flight. We are not pronounced the authentication of potage but if its occurs than it must be a matter of concern.

According to source reported The aviation company not only punished the senior pilot for breach of flight safety regulations but also his co-pilot for not waking him up. As reported , the co-pilot also took several pictures of the senior pilot while he was sleeping in the cockpit.

Here it is needed to mention that after the video was circulated heavily on social media, many users debated as to how often commercial pilots fall asleep while flying. Questions were also raised on safety regulations of long international and domestic flights. However, some users said the pilot in the video was clearly fatigued.

Recently, commercial pilots in China were on a seven-day strike over issues like fatigue and long working hours. The video of the sleeping pilot surfaces just a few days after the strike was called off.
