LONDON: A 23-year-old man was arrested by police on Wednesday (November 9) for throwing eggs at King Charles and Queen Consort, Camilla, during a walkout in York City, United Kingdom. The youth has been arrested on the charge of disturbing public order. The accused youth is said to be a student of York University. He was seen screaming loudly before throwing eggs at the King of Britain. He was saying that 'This country was built on the blood of slaves. (Charles) Not my king.'

According to the report, three eggs were thrown at Maharaja Charles III and his wife Camilla when they were interacting with ordinary people in the northern English city of York on Wednesday (November 9). Eggs were thrown at the royal couple while greeting people at the 'Micklegate Bar Landmark' in the city. However, the eggs did not hit Charles III (73). Pictures on social media show an egg falling near King Charles' feet. However, Charles was not impressed by this and kept moving forward. His security officer immediately came to his rescue. When the accused was caught, he started shouting, 'This country is made of the blood of slaves.'Â
Britain's royal couple is currently in Yorkshire for various events. The events include the unveiling of a statue of the late Queen Elizabeth II, which has been installed after her death in September.
