A pure love on the former president and the missile man of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam a 32-year-old Tirupur man took shape as a 1,330 handwritten postcards with one Thirukkural on each card. At a stretch of 22 hours straight, he has finished writing all 1,330 Tamil couplets with their explanation in English. This hard effort is S Vijayakumar's attempt to mark Kalam's 89th birth anniversary.

S Vijaykumar has told, "During my childhood days in Theni, I was inspired by Kalam and his writings. I developed an interest for Thirukkural while getting to know more about the late scientist. Over a period of time, I learnt many couplets and its meanings by heart." He extended that he wanted to do something special for Kalam's birth anniversary which falls today, October 15 through his effort in a good way. The love for Thirukkural combined with its meaning insisted him to write all kurals on 1,330 postcards, which will be sent to top officials, including Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Collector K Vijayakarthikeyan, President of India Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the second batch, the cards will reach some dignitaries across the country.

Various people across the globe are inspired by both Kalam and Thirukkural. People are using their known skills to highlight the 1330 couplets. A drawing artist mother of a special child is creating a paint album visualizing one kural a day in one page, conceptualizing ‘look says the Kural’.
