Hyderabad: A new case has come to light amid the nationwide debate on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Population Register (NPR) case. The officers of Aadhaar card have been asked to prove their citizenship to Mohammad Sattar, a citizen of Hyderabad. A political uproar has arisen over this notice. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also attacked the government.

Mohammad Sattar, an old citizen of Hyderabad, has been issued notice by the UIDAI officials and asked to prove his citizenship. Mohammad Sattar's house is in Bhawani Nagar in the Charminar police station area. UIDAI states that this notice has been issued to Mohammad Sattar under Rule 30 of Aadhaar. In which Mohammad Sattar will have to bring all the necessary documents so that he can prove his citizenship. Not only this, but it has also been said in this notice that if they are not citizens of India, then they come with all the documents under which they have been allowed to stay here.

Mohammad Sattar's lawyer Muzaffar Ali Khan says that he will take the matter to the High Court. He has said that the Indian government has said that the Aadhaar card is not considered proof of citizenship. The lawyer says that along with Mohammad Sattar, two other people have received similar notices.
