New Delhi: The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government successfully passed the floor test in the Delhi Assembly, securing a victory for the ruling party. Before the no-trust vote, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appeared via video link before a Delhi court in connection with the Enforcement Directorate's recent complaint against him regarding the liquor policy case. Kejriwal informed the court that due to the ongoing floor test, he would not be able to appear physically, and the court scheduled his next appearance for March 16.

Delhi CM's lawyer, Ramesh Gupta, stated that Kejriwal's application for exemption from personal appearance was accepted by the court, with no opposition from the ED's representative. The next hearing is set for March 16, where Kejriwal is expected to appear and seek bail in the matter.

On Friday, Kejriwal called for a trust vote in the Delhi Assembly after being summoned by the ED regarding an alleged scam in the excise policy. During the trust vote, Kejriwal reiterated his accusation that the BJP was attempting to lure AAP MLAs to overthrow his government. He had previously alleged that the BJP offered Rs 25 crore to seven AAP MLAs to defect. The BJP denied the allegation and filed a complaint with the Delhi Police Commissioner, sparking a political controversy.
