Chandigarh: Haryana Home Minister and veteran BJP leader Anil Vij has attacked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) headed by Arvind Kejriwal. This statement of Anil Vij comes at a time when AAP leader Bhagwant Mann has been sworn in as the Chief Minister in Punjab. Vij has said that AAP was born by betraying Anna Hazare's movement.
Haryana Home Minister further said that AAP was born out of deception done during Anna Hazare's agitation in Delhi. The people of Punjab have elected him, let us see whether he succeeds or fails in fulfilling his promises in the coming years. Let us inform that AAP has won 92 seats out of 117 seats in the state in the Punjab Assembly elections. After the assembly election results, Vij took a jibe at the AAP, saying the party had mastered the art of selling liquor on the streets of Delhi and was admired by the people of Punjab as there was a huge drug trade in the state. . Vij had said, 'This will make the situation in Punjab worse.'
Let us inform that Anna Hazare along with Arvind Kejriwal and others had started the India Against Corruption (IAC) movement in 2011. Later in November 2012, Kejriwal and his associates formed a party, which was named Aam Aadmi Party. After this, the party first contested the assembly elections in Delhi and won.
