New Delhi: The deal between AAP and Congress regarding Lok Sabha elections 2024 has been finalized. Today in Delhi, both the parties held a joint press conference and gave the news about seat sharing. Atishi, Sandeep Pathak and Saurabh Bhardwaj from Aam Aadmi Party, while Mukul Wasnik, Deepak Babaria and Arvinder Singh Lovely from Congress attended the press conference. Congress leader Mukul Wasnik said that seat sharing was being discussed among the parties included in the India Block. SP-Congress alliance was announced in Lucknow 2 days ago. He said that there was a long discussion on seat sharing between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress and the seat sharing agreement was finalised.

Mukul Wasnik said that Aam Aadmi Party and Congress will contest elections in alliance in Gujarat, Delhi, Haryana, Goa and Chandigarh. AAP will contest elections on 4 seats in Delhi. Congress has won 3 seats including Chandni Chowk. Whereas Congress will field candidates on both the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat and Goa seats. In Haryana, Congress will contest on 9 seats and AAP will contest on 1 seat. In Gujarat, AAP will contest on 2 seats and Congress on 24 seats. Let us tell you that there are 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat, 10 in Haryana, 7 in Delhi, 2 in Goa and 1 in Chandigarh. 

AAP will contest elections from New Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi and East Delhi Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. Whereas Congress will contest elections on North East, North West and Chandni Chowk seats. In Gujarat, AAP will contest elections from Bharuch and Bhavnagar Lok Sabha seats. Whereas in Haryana it will field its candidate from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat. Mukul Wasnik said that to deal with the challenges currently facing Indian democracy, AAP-Congress have decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections together. He said that we will contest elections on our respective symbols, but will fight unitedly and defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party. Both the parties did not give any news regarding Punjab, after that, it has become clear that Congress and AAP have decided to adopt the strategy of 'Ekla Chalo Re' in this border state.
