The legendary cricketer AB De Villiers said he was “very humbled” at the kind of response he is getting even before the launch of his book which is due for release in a week.

The autobiography which is promulgated by its publishers as “The story of the youngest of three talented, sports-mad brothers growing up in Warmbaths, of a boy who excelled at tennis, rugby and cricket, of a youngster who made his international debut at the age of twenty ..” is expected to get a huge response in the country, which AB in his own words calls a land full of opportunities for young cricketing lads and one of the most important places he has played in.

Moreover, he has specially dedicated a chapter to India named-“Inspired by India”. This comes after the tremendous response and love he has received in India while playing ‘against’ the team representing the very people who commemorate him as their own.

Recalling a 2015 game he said, “I walked out there to bat and the entire crowd was cheering 'AB! AB!' and chanting so loud that I could not even hear myself talk. It was happening in the whole series, but then it hit me really hard that I was very far away from home and here the people were supporting me like I was their own, yet I was playing against their own,"

Terry Morris, the managing director of the book’s publishers, Pan Man millan remaked his surprise by saying,  "We always knew that AB's autobiography and the reception to it in South Africa would be overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic, but we weren't however prepared for the response from the sub-continent."

The autobiography which is all set to jam the bookshelves of thousands of Indian fans from 8th Sept., will be also launched in Australia and England later this month.
