Singing reality show Indian Idol has been in the news for quite some time now. The controversy over the show is increasing day by day as there is a new drama on the show day in and day out to increase the TRP of the show. Like Sawai Bhatt's tragedy story or the love angle between Arunita Kanjilal and Pawandeep Rajan. Indian Idol is in controversy over many such things. Now the show's first winner Abhijeet Sawant took a dig at the makers of the show saying that they focus on poverty more than talent. He said in a recent statement that "If you watch regional reality shows, the audience will hardly know about the contestant's background". There people focus only on singing but Hindi reality shows tell more of the sad stories of the participants.

At the same time, Abhijeet expressed his displeasure and said, "Now the show is also showing things with love angle. If you all remember, the love story of Neha Kakkar and Aditya Narayan was shown in Indian Idol before and more had gone to marriage, though it did not happen". Abhijeet Sawant recalled his old days and said, 'I once forgot lyrics during the season. I left the song midway. The judge there had given me a chance to sing again. If that were the case today, the tv drama would have had a bright and many effects in style'.

Let us tell you all that Recently Kishore Kumar's son Amit Kumar had arrived at the show as a guest. The same Amit had made several revelations after the show went on air and said 'he didn't like the episode at all. In his statement after leaving the show, he said, "I was asked to praise everyone before the show. I did what I was told. I was told to promote whatever you sing because it is a tribute to Kishore Da. I thought it would be a tribute to my father. Once I went there, I just did what I was told. I had asked him to give me a part of the script in advance but nothing like that happened".
