Prayagraj: Major action has been taken against policemen who were negligent while on duty at PM Narendra Modi's programme in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 9 policemen, including one sub-inspector and 8 constables, have been suspended on the orders of the ADG zone. According to the police officer, the policemen were involved in QRT Team-6.

All these 8 constables had come from Sarai Akil police station in Kaushambi district. On the other hand, a sub-inspector was posted at the Nawabganj police station in Prayagraj. In fact, PM Modi had a Matrishakti Samman programme on Tuesday. Tight security arrangements were made from the parade ground to the entire city. QRT was created for this. They were given the responsibility of security at various points in the city. Meanwhile, ADG Prem Prakash was passing by Geeta Niketan in the morning when Daroga and 6 soldiers were seen negligent in duty.

On this, the ADG ordered the suspension of all immediately. Police were on high alert in Prayagraj city in view of PM Modi's security arrangements. In view of this, more than 9,000 policemen, 11 IPS officers, 30 ASPs were deployed. Also, 70 DSP were also on duty. 135 inspectors, more than 500 sub-inspectors and more than 4,000 soldiers and more than 3,000 women policemen, 15 company PAC and CRPF were also deployed.
