New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on behalf of 12 MPs from Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on behalf of a committee of Parliament for repeatedly approaching the Chair, raising slogans, and disrupting the proceedings of the House. Instructions have been given to investigate the matter of breach of privilege. According to the bulletin of Rajya Sabha, among those against whom an investigation is to be done, 9 MPs are from Congress and 3 from AAP. 

According to reports, Congress MPs who created a ruckus in the House include Shaktisinh Gohil, Naranbhai J Rathwa, Syed Nasir Hussain, Kumar Ketkar, Imran Pratapgarhi, L Hanumantaiah, Phoolo Devi Netam, JB M Hisham and Ranjit Ranjan. Whereas, the names of AAP members are Sanjay Singh, Sushil Kumar Gupta, and Sandeep Kumar Pathak. On the other hand, giving clarification on this matter, AAP MP Sanjay Singh has said that, 'We have not done anything that amounts to a breach of privilege. We have only told the truth and exposed the scam involving crores of common people.' Told Sanjay Singh, 'When we get the notice, we will reply to it.'

The bulletin issued by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat on February 18 states that 'The Chairman has referred to a question of an alleged breach of privilege arising out of unregulated conduct displayed by the MPs, in violation of the rules and etiquette of the Rajya Sabha. Included frequent coming close to the Chair in the House, raising slogans and persistently and willfully disrupting the proceedings of the Council, forcing the Chairman to adjourn meetings repeatedly.' Let us tell you that in the first phase of the budget session, the opposition members created a lot of ruckus in the Rajya Sabha on various issues, due to which the proceedings of the house were repeatedly disrupted. This time also the proceedings of both Houses of Parliament had to be adjourned due to frequent uproar.
