Actor Rajasekhar's father Varadarajan passes away

Tollywood actor Dr Rajasekhar's father Varadarajan Gopal passed away at the age of 94. Varadarajan was ailing for the past few days due to age-related problems and was admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment, where he breathed his last on Thursday evening. A police officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, Varadarajan was a former Deputy Commissioner of Police in Chennai. There are five children in their family - three sons and two daughters. His body was brought to Chennai on Friday and sung at his residence in Annanagar for people to come and pay homage to him. His last rites took place in Chennai today.

Rajasekhara is primarily known for his work in Telugu cinema and a few Tamil films. In a career spanning over thirty years, he has acted in over eighty films in various roles. He acted in blockbuster movies, including Talambaralu, Shruthiyalu, Aahuti, Ankusham, Magadu, Allari Priyadu, Anna, Omkaram, Suryudu, Shivayya, Manasunna Marju, Maa Annayya, Simharsi, Evadaithe Nkenti, Gorintaku, PSV Garuda Vega and Kalki. Rajasekhar won two Filmfare Best Actor Awards - Telugu for Magadu and Anna.

The Nature Waldorf School is owned by Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, whom they are married to. The school is affiliated to Dr. Rajasekhar Charitable Trust and started its operations in July 2010. The mission of the school is to provide non-vocational education to the students.
