Malayalam actor Vineeth Thattil was arrested by the Kerala Police on Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted a man in Alappuzha on July 24. As per the reports,  Actor Vineeth Thattil has been arrested for assaulting a man in Kerala, who is currently hospitalized.

As per the source, Vineeth was nabbed in Thrissur and has been booked under charges of an alleged murder attempt on the victim. Vineeth owed some money to Alex and the two had been at loggerheads over it for quite some time now. On July 24, Alex visited the accused's house to seek the money, when Vineeth attacked him with a machete.

 A case under Section 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against Vineeth, police said. According to the police, "Alex complained to police yesterday that he was assaulted by Vineeth. Alex is currently hospitalized," Vineeth reportedly owed some money to Alex and was assaulted, when Alex came asking for it. The actor was arrested and will be produced before the court. The report mentions that Alex suffered injuries on his hand, and is currently undergoing treatment.

On the Professional front, Vineeth made his film debut with Lijo Jose's Pellissery's Angamaly Diaries. In the film, he played the role of Kadan Benny. He played a prominent role in Ayyappanum Koshiyum Vineeth. Apart from this Vineet was also a part of 'Angamally Diaries', 'Aadu 2.'
