NEW DELHI: Adani Enterprises, a subsidiary of the Adani Group, had its stock climb about 5 percent a day after Gautam Adani, the group's chairman and founder, proposed investing Rs 10,000 crore in West Bengal over the next several years.
Adani made the remark on Wednesday while speaking at the opening session of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS)-2022, an annual event hosted by the West Bengal government to promote the state as an ideal investment destination. At the summit, he stated, "This investment will primarily be in industries such as undersea cables, data centres, and warehouses."
The Adani company's shares closed at Rs 2,290 on Thursday, up 4.9 percent from the previous day. Notably, Adani Enterprise’s stock has increased by 33 percent from the beginning of 2022.
