After Djokovic's statement on the vaccine controversy, Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawala has also given him a special message. Poonawala has said that he hopes that the 20-time Grand Slam champion can change his mind regarding the corona vaccine.

In this regard, Poonawala shared a video on social media in which he is seen playing tennis. "I respect your personal views on not getting vaccinated, but I love to see you play. I hope you will change your mind too. In the meantime, the rest of us can now get opportunities at grand slams.

Significantly, the Serbian tennis star had said in an interview to a  media channel that he was not against the Covid vaccine, but if he was forced to get vaccinated, he was going to leave the tournament. Djokovic was barred from playing at the Australian Open earlier in the year because he did not take the vaccine.
