Adipurush, a Prabhas-led film directed by Om Raut and co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Sunny Singh, is planned to be released. The film has seen very good advance bookings for its Hindi version, based just on numbers and not the means by which a portion of them were secured. According to preliminary data, Adipurush will be the second biggest opener of the year in its Hindi form, trailing only Pathaan, and will be the biggest opener of the year in India and globally by a margin of roughly 10-15%. The global first-day box office take will be in the region of Rs 120 crores.

The three national chains of India, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, collectively sold around 2.85 lakh tickets for the opening day of Adipurush (Hindi), helping it secure fourth place in the list of highest advance bookings in the national chains for the opening day, in the Hindi language, following the pandemic. While Pathaan takes the top rank, KGF: Chapter 2 and Brahmastra come in second and third place, respectively. PVR is clearly the most popular national movie theatre chain, followed by Inox and Cinepolis. Including Adipurush ticket sales in Telugu, the total number of tickets sold in national chains on the first day exceeds 4 lakhs. If all Hindi language films are included, Adipurush has the 12th highest advance.

Pre-bookings for Adipurush (Hindi) are really encouraging in many small chains and centres, but the obvious way in which ticket purchases have occurred across national chains has drawn more attention than they should have. To be sure, a non-national company like MovieMax sold approximately 10,000 tickets on the first day and 20,000 tickets on the weekend entirely in Hindi. The Telugu version of the film has sold approximately 11,000 tickets, bringing the weekend total to 31,000 tickets, which is extremely good. MovieMax is not a high-end chain that caters to the middle class, so the picture selling this many tickets is very encouraging.
