Adipurush, the epic film directed by Om Raut and starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, had excellent bookings four days before its scheduled release. As of 5pm on June 12th, 2023, the Hindi version of the movie had sold about 39 thousand tickets across three national chains. Based on these sales figures, it can be assumed that the movie will have a strong opening assuming it continues its current momentum. In the months leading up to its premiere on June 16, 2023, the movie is expected to become an increasingly coveted commodity.
Adipurush (Hindi) has sold 39,000 tickets in three national chains for the opening day, four days prior to release. Of the 39,000 tickets, around 18,500 tickets are sold in PVR, 12,500 tickets in Inox and 8,000 tickets in Cinepolis. If advance bookings four days prior to release are anything to go by, Adipurush looks to emerge as the third biggest post-pandemic opener for its Hindi version, only behind Pathaan and Brahmastra. The all India opening can be the greatest of the year, even ahead of Pathaan, if the pace is maintained till its release.
For the upcoming few weeks, Adipurush won't face any significant competition. On June 29, Satyaprem Ki Katha, its first significant rival, will release. On July 28, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, its second big rival, will. Adipurush's lack of significant releases may be advantageous, but only if the content hits the right notes. Around Adipurush, there is a powerful wave that has developed. Influential figures including Ananya Birla, Ranbir Kapoor, and others have promised to reserve a sizable number of tickets for underprivileged kids. Adipurush is a costly film that will require a lot of support from moviegoers. Pre-bookings for Adipurush have begun, and the film will be released in theaters nationwide on June 16, 2023.
