Yesterday, Adipurush reported another 30% reduction in daily collections, with collections falling into the single digits. On Wednesday, the Prabhas-starrer grossed Rs. 8.75 crores at the Indian box office. Adipurush's six-day box office collection is at Rs. 262 crores. The picture crossed the Rs. 300 crore mark yesterday, with a total global box office take of Rs. 307 crores, including Rs. 45 crores from overseas.

Surprisingly, Telugu states collect more than the Hindi belt during the week. Yesterday, Telugu states collected Rs. 4.50 crores versus Rs. 3.60 crores in the Hindi belt. Pan-Indian films typically fare better in the Hindi belt after the initial weekend. However, the situation was reversed this time, with the Hindi version dominating the box office on Saturday and Sunday, while the Telugu states saw larger receipts on weekdays. The high number of bulk bookings for the Hindi version over the weekend, which artificially boosted its box office results, is one element contributing to this trend. As a result, without those bulk bookings, the Hindi version saw a significant drop in collections.

The film's production cost a fortune, with a reported budget of Rs. 500 crores. Despite the high cost, the film is expected to avoid severe losses thanks to non-theatrical recoveries and a sizable non-refundable advance (NRA) from Telugu distributors. However, these recoveries only transfer the losses, as the Telugu state's estimated revenue will only cover half of the NRAs. The estimated recoveries for the film are about Rs. 410-420 crores, indicating probable losses of Rs. 80-90 crores, which will be borne primarily by Telugu distributors, subject to renegotiations.
