Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has said that those who oppose the award of Bharat Ratna to Veer Savarkar should be kept in the Andaman Cellular Jail for 2 days, so that they can understand the meaning of Savarkar's sacrifice.
However, now Aditya Thackeray has shown some leniency in this matter. Aditya has said that instead of discussing history, politics should be done on current issues. At the same time, as soon as Congress leader Prithviraj Chauhan said that if the Modi government tried to give Bharat Ratna to Savarkar, then we will oppose this, after that Shiv Sena has become aggressive on this issue.
