A shocking case has come to light in Colombia. In which the sensational case of killing five people in the remote city of Colombia is reported. Two vehicles were burnt to death in Jamundi, southwestern Colombia, last night, with five people dead. This is the third massacre incident in the last one year. According to officials, two bodies riddled with bullets were found inside a vehicle while the other three were found on the streets.
According to media reports, Colombia has formed a special military unit to eliminate drug smuggling in the southwestern part of the country. President Ivan Duke gave information about this. He told, "This unit has been formed in Colombia against drug trafficking." He said that drug smuggling will not be tolerated in the country. Colombia is one of the major producers of cocaine in the world. According to him, Colombian authorities destroyed more than 100,000 hectares of narcotics plants in 2019 and seized 434.7 tonnes of cocaine.
In his statement, the commander of the Cali Metropolitan Police, Manuel Antonio Vasquez, said that the officers investigating the case believe that the bloodbath occurred during the clash with the terrorists. A total of 230 soldiers have been deployed in this area. Vasquez said, "We are here to protect the local people." At the same time, the local authorities have demanded the government of the country to provide basic facilities like good roads, security, health and education. According to the data released, illegal grains are grown here in 1,000 hectares (2,470 acres). In January last year, four members of Jamundi's farming family had grown banana-like crops, which were killed.
