Bangalore: Rajnath Singh, the Indian defence minister, claimed on Monday that Aero India Show 2023 had strengthened the Indian defence industry and given India a new international character.

He was speaking to the crowd at Bangalore's Yelahanka Airbase at the Aero India Show 2023's opening ceremony.
"Over the past few years, our defence industry has come a long way. The industry has had a lot of success. These accomplishments have grown to be the defence industry's pillars in India. The one of the cornerstones is Aero India. According to Rajnath Singh, it has gradually boosted India's defence industry.

"Under PM Modi's direction, the nation is excelling in all spheres. The nation has established itself as a significant actor in the political and economic arenas of the world, he said.

"The Aero India expo showcases the strength of the aerospace industry. There are two key aspects of this show. Height and speed are two examples. These two traits also represent the working personality of the PM, he said.
"He stands for the pinnacle of honesty and dedication to India. The rapidity of decision-making and results delivery was evident. According to the defence minister, India is rising to prominence around the world and leading the way for many other nations.

If there is any force behind all of this, he claimed, it is PM Modi's ability to commit to the welfare of the populace.
Rajnath Singh added that Karnataka is a region renowned for its contributions to science, research, and bravery. This region has built a name for itself in industrialization and is one of the key states advancing the nation.

"I had welcomed PM Modi in three important functions last week. First was in Tumakuru, second was in Lucknow and third time here in Bangalore . The three programmes are all concerned with promoting economic and industrial progress. Two of these events take place in Karnataka. This demonstrates the state's and the nation's ongoing economic and industrial expansion. These programmes also demonstrate Prime Minister Modi's steadfast commitment, he said.

"Aero India in Bangalore is a manifestation of the industrial and economic development of India, particularly Karnataka. 700 exhibitors from India and abroad are exhibiting their finest products and best technology at the show. This also illustrates the commercial potential and acceptance by both domestic and foreign corporations, the speaker continued.

Rajnath Singh also lauded the efforts of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai's efforts in hosting the mega Aero Show 2023 in Bangalore.
