New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fourteenth edition of Asia's largest aero show,  Aero India 2023,  in Bangalore today.

The five-day event will be centered on showcasing homegrown tools and technologies and forming alliances with foreign businesses.

"The Runway to a Billion Opportunities" is the theme of Aero India 2023.


The Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will preside over the "CEOs Round Table," which will be held on February 13 and have as its topic "Sky is not the limit: prospects beyond borders."

"The event will highlight the advancements made by the nation in design leadership, the expansion of the UAV sector, the development of defence space, and cutting-edge technology. The Prime Minister's emphasis on Aatmanirbharta in the Indian Defense sector will also be on exhibit. 
The event will also promote the export of domestic aviation platforms such the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-Tejas, HTT-40, Dornier Light Utility Helicopter (LUH), Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), among others "PMO released a statement.

The event will also help in integrating domestic Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and start-ups in the global supply chain and attract foreign investments including partnerships for co-development and co-production.
More than 80 countreios will participate at Aero India 2023. Aero India 2023 is expected to draw participation from 65 CEOs of global and Indian OEMs as well as ministers from roughly 30 different nations.

More than 800 defence businesses, including over 100 foreign and 700 Indian enterprises, will participate in the Aero India 2023 show.

MSMEs and start-ups from India will display the development of specialised technologies as well as the expansion of the nation's aerospace and defence capabilities at the event.

Airbus, Boeing, Dassault Aviation, Lockheed Martin, Israel Aerospace Industry, BrahMos Aerospace, Army Aviation, HC Robotics, SAAB, Safran, Rolls Royce, Larsen & Toubro, Bharat Forge Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), and BEML Limited are among the major exhibitors at Aero India 2023.
