Kabul: Protests have taken place outside the Pakistani embassy in Afghanistan's capital Kabul against the arrest of Manjur Pashtin, leader of the Pashtun community in Pakistan. According to the report published in the Pakistani media, many people camped outside the Pakistani embassy in Kabul and protested Pashthan's arrest. They also raised slogans against the Government of Pakistan.
Afghan MP Shagufta Noor also participated in these protesters. The protesters staged a protest in front of the embassy's central gate. The report claimed that due to this strike, the embassy personnel could not move through the main door and had to use the back way. Pakistani media reports claimed that embassy sources have said that when they asked for assistance from Afghan police officers in the matter, they replied that they could do nothing, that they had received an 'upside down' order that the protesters where Let them perform there. There are a large number of people of Pashtun society in Afghanistan.
Pashtun Tehfuz Movement (PTM) Chief Manzoor Pashtan, an organization of the Pakistani Pashtun community, was arrested in Peshawar in the early hours of Monday. A case of treason has been registered, accusing Pashthan, who raised his community's rights for human rights, in a speech delivered at a program. He has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the court.
