Mannu Bhandari, a well-known writer of Hindi literature, has passed away. She was 90 years old. Manu Bhandari, the author of timeless works like 'Mahabhoj' and 'Aapka Bunty', breathed her last on Monday morning. There is a wave of mourning in the literary world with the death of Mannu Bhandari. Many litterateurs, journalists, movie worlds and political leaders have condoled her demise. Social media has been flooded with people paying tribute to her.

According to media reports, Manu Bhandari's father Sukh Sampathrai was also a well-known writer. She was currently living with her daughter Rachna Yadav in Gurgaon. It is also being said that she has been ill for a long time. Rachna Yadav is a famous dancer. After the death of father Rajendra Yadav, 'Hans' magazine is being run and managed by Rachna Yadav.

Mannu Bhandari has given more than one composition to the Hindi literary world. Director Basu Chatterjee made the movie 'Rajnigandha' in 1974 on her story 'Yeh Sach Hai'.
