After expulsion, Akhilesh claims Samajwadi Party is 'his party', may tie-up with Congress

After the unexpected step of expulsion of Akhilesh and Ramgopal Yadav, within few minutes, Akhilesh and Ramgopal both reacted firmly, taking stiff stand against the decision. Akhilesh Yadav said that the Samajwadi Party is his party and nobody can expel him from the party. In similar tone, Ramgopal Yadav said that the decision of Mulayam singh is completely illegal as per the party’s constitution. He argued that this sort of decision can be taken only after giving due notice and giving a chance of hearing the stand of the accused persons.

Hence, it seems that, now no possibility of any compromise or re-union of the two fractions of Samajwadi Party remains. However, the situation gave rise to many questions in the political arena of UP. The most important question is that ‘Which fraction will get the poll symbol of ‘Bicycle’ along with recognition as the real Samajwadi Party by the Election Commission?'
